Thank you St. Michael School and St. Michael CWL
The St. Joseph Church Divine Mercy Free Store volunteers would like to thank the students, staff and parents at St. Michael School and the St. Michael CWL for their very generous donation of the Blessing Bags that they created for the needy visitors to our store. Some of the items included in each Blessing Bag consisted of socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, water bottles, granola bars, Tim Hortons’ cards, and so much more. The Blessing Bags were truly a blessing. Everyone who received one commented that they so appreciated that they were thought of, especially by the youth in our community.
Thank you so much for allowing us to distribute the Blessing Bags on your behalf.
Your age does not limit your impact on others nor limit how God will use you.

History of St. Joseph ChurchIt all began in August 1904, when the former Vidal Street Presbyterian Church property was dedicated to God and placed under the protection of St. Joseph and grew for the next 24 years until finally, the "Little Church", as it was affectionately known, was no longer large enough. So on December 24, 1928, the growing congregation gathered in their beautiful, new church on Stuart Street to celebrate Midnight Mass.
It was a wonderful achievement and an unforgettable Mass for all who gathered to worship and give thanks.

When Catholics serve others, they give witness to Jesus Christ. As acts of love that help us care for the needs of others, the Works of Mercy are an opportunity for us to give witness to Christ. Jesus entrusted his followers the responsibility of caring for others and one way we can fulfill this responsibility is by performing Works of Mercy.

Divine Mercy Free Store
Open Tuesdays 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
FREE clothing for adults, youth and children
Mercy is one of the fruits of charity, which enables us to show love and compassion to those who are suffering in any way, whether in mind, body, heart or soul.
Divine Mercy Free Store seeks to lower barriers to access for one of the most basic needs in our community namely the need for clothing. Providing this access is just one tool to help assist the needy in our community.
Donations of new, clean and gently used clothing, footwear, blankets, towels and toiletries for children, youth and adults are needed. Donations are always gratefully accepted at St. Joseph Church at the South Side Parking Lot Door:
Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In a spirit of loving service, knowing that we are really loving and caring for Christ, who through the Holy Spirit, lives on in every person,
we are asking you to please consider participating in any of the many opportunities to serve at St. Joseph Church.
The goal of Willing Workers is to enrich the lives of our parishioners, welcome new and visiting parishioners, ensure grieving families are supported and comforted, assist the needy, and care for our beautiful church, all in fellowship with each other.
