Our Mission

We will invite everyone to personally participate in all liturgical gatherings in a warm, appealing, vibrant celebration of God's love in our community.

Early French settlers along the St. Clair river were served by Jesuit missionaries in the ealry 1800's. A Father Duranquet built the first church, named St. Michael, on the site of the present Our Lady of Mercy Church in 1840. The land and lumber to build it were donated by Mr. Goerge Durand on behalf of his wife, a Roman Catholic.
