Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed 2026 a special Franciscan Jubilee Year, marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi. During this Jubilee Year, the faithful may obtain a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions of Confession, Holy Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father.
The Secular Franciscan Order – St. Anthony of Padua Fraternity invites all parishioners to join them on a pilgrimage to St. Mary's Church in Blenheim on the Feast of St. Clare. St. Mary's has been designated by the Bishop of London as an official pilgrimage site for obtaining the Jubilee indulgence. The day will include Mass, opportunities for Confession, prayer, and reflections on the life and spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi.
