CWL Eucharistic RetreatSaturday June 7th, 2025, 30 members of our St. Michael CWL were blessed to take part in our very first Eucharistic Retreat, led by our Faith Pillar, Christine Bresette, and our Spiritual Director, Father Joseph. It was a truly enriching experience, guiding us on a journey to deepen our discipleship and to recognize the profound significance of the Eucharist in our faith and daily lives.During the retreat, Father Joseph shared a powerful reminder: "Your life is possibly the only scripture that someone will ever read." His words encouraged us to live out Christ’s teachings with intention, embodying His love and lessons beyond the walls of our parish. We also took time to reflect on important questions surrounding our faith, and how we can better prepare—physically, mentally, and spiritually—for the sacredness of Mass.
On behalf of our CWL Executive Council, we extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who said YES and joined us in this meaningful retreat. Blessings Bags 2025A Heartfelt Thank You for a Successful 2025 Lenten Project!
We’re thrilled to share the success of this year’s Lenten Project—a beautiful collaboration between the staff and students of St. Michael Catholic School and the St. Michael CWL.
Under the leadership of Grade 1/2 Teacher, Rebecca Tomback, and the St. Michael Wellness Team, the Grade 7/8 students assembled 77 Blessing Bags filled with essential items for those in need in our community. Each bag included water, juice, snacks, toiletries, socks, and a Tim Hortons gift card—thoughtful items chosen to offer comfort and care to individuals experiencing homelessness.
- 40 bags were donated to the St. Vincent de Paul
- The remaining 37 bags were shared between Nightlife, Divine Mercy Free Store, and Grace’s Café
This marks the second consecutive year of this meaningful partnership, and we are so proud of the compassion and leadership shown by our students and community members.
Together, we are making a difference—one Blessing Bag at a time.
